Once we have receive an order for Indian spices, the shipment process involves several key steps to ensure a smooth export:
Order Confirmation: Verify the order details, including quantity, price, payment terms, and delivery schedule with the buyer.
Preparation of Documents: Prepare all necessary documents, such as:
Commercial Invoice: Details of the shipped goods, price, and terms of sale.
Packing List: Information about the packaging, including weight, dimensions, and contents.
Bill of Lading: Issued by the carrier to acknowledge receipt of the goods.
Shipping Bill: Issued by Indian Customs for export clearance.
Certificate of Origin: Proves the goods are of Indian origin.
Quality Certificates: Depending on the buyer’s requirements, this could include FSSAI approval, ISO certification, or others .
Customs Clearance: Submit the shipping bill and other required documents to the customs authorities for clearance.
Pay applicable customs duties and taxes.
Booking Freight: Arrange transportation and book cargo space with the shipping line. The shipment could be through air,
sea, or land depending on the agreement with the buyer.
Loading and Transport: The goods are loaded onto the carrier, ensuring they are properly packed and labeled as per
international standards. Obtain the Bill of Lading from the carrier.
Insurance: Arrange for insurance coverage for the shipment to protect against any transit risks.
Shipping and Delivery: The carrier transports the goods to the destination port. Keep in regular communication with
the buyer to inform them of the shipment status.
Customs Clearance at Destination: Upon arrival, the buyer must clear the goods through the destination country’s customs.
Receipt and Payment: Once the buyer receives the shipment and all terms of the agreement are met, facilitate the payment
process as per the agreed terms.
